With the recent and unrivaled success of “Jurassic World,” one wouldn’t be surprised if Universal Studios is doing all that it can to create a sequel (“Jurassic World 2”) as fast as possible. Will Chris Pratt and his raptors, like Blue, be there? What about Bryce Dallas Howard? Read on to learn more about this scoop.
“Jurassic World” was such a huge success in the box office that fans do not need to worry and wait for another 14 years for the sequel to come out, as it was recently revealed that the sequel will be released on June 22, 2018. You can be sure, with the ground breaking success of the latest dinosaur Armageddon franchise, that the studio will want to cash-in this cash cow as soon as possible even if Colin Trevorrow is not directing “Jurassic World 2.”
Yes, you’ve read it right, director Colin Trevorrow, according to Screencrush, will not be directing the upcoming “Jurassic Park 5.” But don’t fret; he’ll still be involved in some way. So what are the possible things that can happen to this yet to exist film? Do remember that beyond the news about Trevorrow, everything below is based on speculations.
One possible plot revolves around the Tyranasaurus Rex, also known as T-rex, meeting the Mammoth. This possible scenario is based on a fictional news posted in the Jurassic World’s corporate website, in that there is a new InGen facility, which would probably be headed by Dr. Henry Wu, called “Martel” based in Siberia, who hopes to find organic remains dating from 40,000 to 200,000 years ago. The state of the art research facility, according to the said news, is believed to be situated over a group of woolly mammoths buried under the permafrost.
Another possible plot revolves around Dr. Wu’s escape in a helicopter filled with dino DNA. Given that the scientists in “Jurassic World” introduced the genetically modified Indominus Rex, the movie franchise opened an infinite number of possibilities away from the themed-park scheme of previous films. If the sequel would choose this path, we’ll surely see more of the park scientists’ mantra “Bigger! Faster! More teeth!” furnish the big screen.
Finally, raptors in the military! Surely you remember the scene where the character of Vincent D’Onfrio encourages Owen, Pratt’s character, on the military application of the Velociraptors. This concept was probably derived from a script written by William Monahan and John Sayles, who are part of Universal’s army of screenwriters. The plot revolves around a team of modified raptors trained to carry weapons and battle terrorists.
Dinosaurs and ancient mammals, mad scientists creating highly modified dinosaurs, terror fighting raptors, or all of the above. What do you think? Tell us your opinion on the possible sequel of the movie.
