Bryce Dallas Howard will once again be seen going to the jungle, but this time instead of dinosaurs she will search for gold. Howard, who is known for her debut in Universal’s “Jurassic World,” is going to play a lead role in the “Academy Award” winner Stephen Gaghan’s mining drama “Gold.” It also stars the other popular celebrities like Matthew McConaughey, Corey Stoll, Bruce Greenwood, Stacy Keach, Toby Kebbell and Edgar Ramirez. Read below to get a scoop of it.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Howard will play the character named Kay. Her character is the longtime girlfriend of “Interstellar” actor McConaughey’s character Kenny Wells. The story is about hunting for gold in an unexplored forest in Indonesia with the help of Ramirez, a geologist. This is the peak time to see whether the long relationship between Kay and Wells exists or not.
The film is said to be in the midway of production in New Mexico after its recent completed production stint in Thailand. The film does not yet have any confirmed release date but the shoot will be ended in October this year in New York.
John Zinman and Patrick Massett are reportedly working on the script of “Gold.” The movie, which is said to have been a joint project of Black Bear Pictures and HWY 61, will be co-produced by Teddy Schwarzman and Michael Nozik. However, it is very early to say about the storyline or fate of the characters while they will be directed for treasure hunting in the forest area.
The press release floated by The Tracking Board revealed that Howard will appear with another kind of large reptile in Disney’s “Pete’s Dragon” before she is seen in “Gold.” She is all set to reprise her role as Claire in the next sequel of “Jurassic World.” But detail about this upcoming Dino-shaped success deserving movie is yet to come.
