Justice League will bring together DC heroes for the first time. Each of the heroes will have some contribution to; however, there is one whose contribution could be more important than others.

Director Zack Snyder has described Cyborg’s story as the heart of the movie. This naturally means his story will be so intertwined with the main conflict, and it will make him the most important character in the movie.

Keeping in mind all the reasons, here is why Cyborg is the most crucial hero in the movie.

Mother Box

Steppenwolf will be invading Earth, looking to retrieve the three Mother Boxes on Earth. With the Mother Box that was in human possession and now attached to Victor Stone’s body, he would become an important part of the puzzle.

Since one of the Mother Boxes was used to build Stone’s body, chances are Steppenwolf will come after him, too. In what can only be called a gruesome death battle, it would be interesting to see how well Cyborg can defend himself.

Key to defeating the enemy

Since he is practically the third Mother Box, he will certainly be able to figure out a way to defeat the invading forces. Following reports that his armor will keep on changing, there could be a moment where he comes across new data that can be used, later on, to defeat the invaders.

Back in the animated movie Justice League: War, Cyborg was able to open the portal back to Apokolips when he was connected to the other Mother Box.

So much like the movie, if he is able to connect with the other Motherb Boxes and send the enemy back, it could prove to be the biggest help for the allies.

Online 24X7

In one of the behind-the-scenes footage, actor Ray Fisher, who portrays Cyborg in the movie, spoke about how his character is always online feeding off of data 24×7.

Going by his description, if Cyborg really would be seen processing data at all times, it would give him unfettered access to all kinds of data. With everything online and easily within reach these days, he could become the hero who knows everything.

Arsenal of Weapons

One major advantage that Cyborg has with having an armor made out of a Mother Box is that he can continuously upgrade it. Reports have indicated that his armor will keep on upgrading itself as the movie’s events continue.

With his armor doing just that, it will give him more and more advantage in the battlefield when he goes up against parademons and Steppenwolf. Latest pictures released some time back revealed a different array of weapons that Cyborg will be using.

In one picture, it was a sharp sword-like object, while in the other it was a cybernetic cannon. In a sneak peek that was released before the trailer, it revealed that his armor would continue to enable him with weapons according to the circumstances he finds himself in.

So when Steppenwolf finally shows up in the movie, Cyborg’s armor will be at its best level, giving him ability to stand against the God-like immortal warrior.

Aside from Batman collecting all-important data that he can on the invading enemies, Cyborg will be that member who will perhaps acquire more knowledge about the invaders when compared to other heroes.

Given the fact that the motherbox will turn him into a supercomputer, he will also have the ability to learn everything he can in very little time.

Much like how Superman’s ultimate sacrifice to save humanity turned him into a legend in the DC universe, Cyborg could have a moment like that, too. Since he has a motherbox attached to him, he could choose to destroy or detonate it so as to push back the army of parademons to where they came from.

Cyborg might become inactive after that but much like Superman, he, too, could be brought back to life. Batman could be the one who could bring him back online.

USA Today reported what Zack Snyder stated about Cyborg’s role in the movie. According to him, Ray Fisher’s character’s story is in a way the heart of the movie. It remains to be seen how Cyborg is weaved into the story, which has other major heroes, too.

Justice League will be released on Nov. 17, 2017.
