Justin Bieber explained why he got emotional while performing his song “What Do You Mean” during the VMAs, in an interview with Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show.” Read on to know further details.
According to People, Justin Bieber made his successful return at the 2015 MTV VMAs (Video Music Awards), on August 30. However, he got emotional and made a tearful performance at the end while singing his latest single “What Do You Mean” on the stage. His fans went wild as he became emotional at the end of his performance.
Bieber explained the reason for his emotional performance at the VMAs, during the interview with Jimmy Fallon, on NBC’s long-running “The Tonight Show” that aired on Sep 2, 2015.
“It was so overwhelming,” and “I didn’t expect them to support me in the way they did,” said Bieber. He also said that the “emotional moment at the end of his performance” was “just authentic” and “real.”
The 21-year old singer said that the performance and the support was “so overwhelming” for him. He admitted that he was “little disappointed” as he “missed some cues.” He even disclosed that he did not expect that his fans and audiences would offer such an amazing support for him.
During the interview, Fallon and Bieber also discussed about the multi-platinum singer’s upsetting unlawful behavior last year.
“What Do You Mean,” Bieber’s latest single, was released on August 28. During the interview with Fallon, the singer also revealed that his new album would be released on November 13.
Justin Bieber was wearing an oversized camo jacket and black cap, during the interview, reported Billboard. The singer revealed his calm confidence and was “surprisingly genuine and unscripted” while answering the questions, and was also joking with Fallon in between.
