It looks like Justin Bieber and One Direction will be locking horns this coming Nov. 13, 2015, as both artists will be dropping bombs on that same day. To make things clear before any of the dust settles, the “Never Say Never” artist was first in line with the aforementioned date in revisiting the music charts. Read on.
In a report from India Today, Bieber was totally annoyed that 1D’s upcoming “Made in A.M.” was with intent made available to the public specifically on that date. His management declared his fourth studio album, “Purpose” available weeks prior to the British boy band’s announcement.
“They’re not really going on the road much, but we’re talking about them right now, so it gives them some promo, right?” Bieber said.
The 21-year-old Canadian pop star hinting the truth that he doesn’t want any other artist stealing his thunder come launch day.
The “One Less Lonely Girl” hitmaker believes that it was a tactic on the part of One Direction’s management on why they carried it out on having the same release date.
The Biebs though showed no sign of apprehension as he brought up his previous remark that the English-Irish pop group should expect a thrashing of the final album before they go on hiatus.
“The face you make when you come out with an album the same day as Justin Bieber,” he metaphorically expressed himself as he finished the interview.
This isn’t the first time though that Bieber and One Direction indirectly had a beef. A report from Billboard involved 1D member Liam Payne duke it out with Bieber fans in a social media war. The fracas started in their own camp with departed member Zayn Malik being the butt of Payne’s joke. An “Ariana Grande” fan came supposedly to the rescue with a “Justin Bieber” rebuttal saying that, “it’s depressing that Payne will never be more successful than JB”. Payne immediately retweet with a comeback stating that “how many times has he been arrested?”.
All the same fans of Grande will be delighted to hear that the management of Bieber is putting together a mega-tour that involves both artists sharing the same stage.
“The whole thing will hopefully end in several (U.S.) stadium dates with special guest Ariana Grande,” a source told the Hollywood Life.
