The movie “Girl on a Train” is being shot even as we speak and actors Justin Theroux and Emily Blunt endured a cold day to produce the first few shots. The film is being shot in the neighbourhood of New York and winter is approaching fast. The stars kept themselves warm with layers of clothing and huge overcoats.

To tell the truth, we were surprised to know that Justin Theroux was chosen to replace Chris Evans, who was having trouble scheduling the shoots for the film. We do like Justin Theroux’s work as a writer. He wrote the hilarious “Tropic Thunder” after all, but we do not think that he is pretty enough to be an actor. He is better at writing and even better at directing movies, in our humble opinion. But that is just us. This isn’t his first film as an actor, he has done a dozen odd films since his first, “I shot Andy Warhol.” But we do believe that he is good in “Leftovers.” We have to give him that.

Anyway, MailOnline reports that the movie is being shot in White Plains, New York, and the place got really cold during the shoot. Co-actor Emily Blunt kept herself warm with many layers of clothing while Theroux kept warm with a long black coat. Readers will remember that “Girl on a Train” is based on a novel of the same name by Paula Hawkins. It is a psychological thriller that sold over three million copies in the United States in its initial run.

The film tells the story of an alcoholic girl who rides a train to London everyday just to show her flatmate that she is still employed, even though she has lost her job recently. After a ride on the train one night, she wakes up bloody and bruised and has no memory of the night before. The story then begins to unfold like a psychological thriller.
