On Saturday, October 10, Kanye West auditioned for “American Idol” in San Francisco, California. He performed before judges Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez, and Harry Connick Jr. According to E! News, West’s wife, Kim Kardashian, accompanied him and hung out with “American Idol” host and “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” producer Ryan Seacrest.
Seacrest posted this photo on Instagram and captioned it, “Look who’s going to Hollywood! #IdolAuditions #kanyewest”
“American Idol” also posted a video clip of Kanye’s golden ticket moment on their official Instagram page.
Kim also let her Instagram followers know about Kanye’s audition.
Kim wore a long black jacket and black maxi dress to cover her baby bump, while Kanye sported a brown jacket, black T-shirt, black jeans, and gold chain. According to sources, fans have already leaked the footage of the rapper’s “audition.” As seen in the video, Kanye performed his 2005 hit song “Gold Digger” before the judges. Lopez and Connick couldn’t help but smile while Kanye performed.
Kim, Kanye, and their two-year-old daughter North traveled together to San Francisco, California on Saturday to attend the Democratic National Committee fundraiser for President Barack Obama. Kanye was the one of the featured performers at the event. During the event, President Obama went up on stage and gave the rapper some “important advice” regarding his 2020 presidential bid. It will be recalled that Kanye declared his plans to run for president in 2020 at the 2015 MTV VMAs.
