Queen Elizabeth II’s retirement is impending. Now, the Palace has been preparing for a smooth transition of power. Her Majesty is the patron of 600 organizations and now that she has reached 90 years old, she started to delegate.
News from the Royal Palace states that Kate Middleton has assumed 25 of the organizations that the Queen has been the patron. The Duchess of Cambridge has stepped into the shoes of the longest reigning monarch by assuming queenly duties. Read on for more details.
Kate Middleton Assumes Queenly Duties For Queen Elizabeth II’s Retirement
Formerly known as the National Children’s Home, the Action for Children was assumed by the Duchess lately as reported by Nursery World. The chief executive of the institution, Sir Tony Hawkhead, informed that they felt thrilled to know that Kate Middleton has replaced the Queen. Prince William’s wife is a mother to two children and is the most fitting replacement for the Mother Queen. Queen Elizabeth II has been the patron of the children’s home since 1967.
Hello! Magazine reported that they announced the news following the monarch’s plan to step down as head of the organization. Action For Children is the second patronage assigned to 35-year-old Middleton. She also became the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC) Wimbledon.
The Duchess is one with her husband, the future king Prince William in helping the Queen continue her duties to their constituents. Prince William has recently resigned from his post as the pilot for rescue and emergency air ambulance. He will be staying most of the time at the Palace.
The couple, who chose to live in Norfolk, has to relocate to Kensington Palace due to the demands of their assumed duties. They are now staying at their apartment in the palace. Prince George will start schooling and has to stay in London also.
Kate Middleton And Prince William Family Life Favored
The setup of the family is conducive at present as they are housed in the area. Kate Middleton and the Prince have been preoccupied with their representation for the palace. The Queen is no longer able to attend to her other invitations and the young couple has taken her place.
They honored the BAFTAS Awards event together. As expected, the mother of two was a stunner at the event as she wore her off-shoulder gown. Middleton looked skinnier these days as noticed during the event. But she remained radiant and beautiful despite her hectic schedules.
