Recently, Kate Middleton is lined up to a solo trip to Malta, an island country in southern Europe, but with the announcement of the Duchess of Cambridge’s second pregnancy, paparazzi and public are speculating that the trip might be cancelled. The two-day trip was scheduled to mark the celebration of 50th Independence Day of Malta. Read on to learn more about this scoop.
The Duchess is due to carry out 10 engagements during the two-day trip on Sept. 20-21,2014. She is scheduled to attend an Independence Day service and a garden party at the high commissioner’s residence in Malta. Prince Harry’s Invictus Games, an international athletic competition made up of wounded service men and women, started by Prince Harry. Harry wanted Prince William and Middleton to be at the official opening of the games, which was already opened by Prince Harry himself at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London.
Shortly after the official announcement by Clarence House about Middleton’s second pregnancy, reports about her worsening health started to surface. As we have reported earlier, the Duchess is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum (HG).
Mirror UK noted that she is seven weeks pregnant, and due to her bad health, she is under special medical supervision of royal surgeon gynecologists Alan Farthing and Guy Thorpe-Beeston. According to Hello Magazine, the royal sources have revealed that if Middleton’s health won’t allow her to go on Malta trip, then Prince William may be the one to fill in for her. The information came after the reports suggesting that Prince Harry’s birthday celebration was called off due to Middleton’s poor health.
Vanity Fair reported that Prince Harry’s birthday dinner was arranged by Kate, her sister Pippa and Prince Harry’s buddy Guy Pelly. Singer Ellie Goulding was reportedly requested to perform.
“When it became apparent that she was not well enough to join the Duke on a joint engagement in Oxford today and that the number of forthcoming engagements could be affected, the Duke and Duchess have taken the difficult decision to be fully open about the pregnancy,” a senior royal source told Daily Mail.
A representative for Kensington Palace has said of the Duchess’s schedule and her trip to Malta.
“We will be planning this on a case by case basis.”
All the best for second royal baby, and we hope the Duchess feels better soon and enjoy her pregnancy.
