Kaya Scodelario On ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean 5,’ Says Producers Want To Take It Back To The Beginning Again

The famous pirates’ series of big screen about which talks are doing rounds since a long time, had started its shoot in the beginning of this year and will reach to its destination, the theaters, soon. But before that the “Maze Runner” film series actress, Kaya Scodelario, who joined the Disney’s popular treasure-hunting series’ fifth part, “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” as Carina Smyth, has recently put some light on her character and on the movie.

The actress, who is a new face to the franchise, said that the makers of the movie want to draw much from the first to the fifth one. They want to take the film back to the beginning again, having the epic journey again, and for it to make sense, and for it to tie things up, and also lead to new storylines.

According to Digital Spy, Scodelario, who is a new add-on to the star cast of the fifth part, also revealed about her character saying, “[Carina] is an astronomer, and she is an academic. She’s fighting for the right to study at university, because women couldn’t at that time, so she’s on her own journey – looking for the trident of Poseidon – and she has a diary with clues, and she encounters Jack Sparrow along the way, and he messes everything up. As he does. And it’s fun!”

As far as the actors reprising their roles are concerned, the main lead Jack Sparrow aka Jonny Depp, Javier Bardem as Captain Salazar, Geoffrey Rush as Captain Hector Barbossa, Orlando Bloom as Will Turner/Davy Jones, Stephen Graham as Scrum, all are part of “Pirate 5” too.

Well, after the release of the fourth part of the franchise, it was confirmed that a fifth part will also come but due to funds issue it has been delayed. And now, it is been said that the movie will release on July 7, 2017.
