Multitalented actress Keira Knightley has a lot more on her plate than just a couple of award nominations to her name. As reported by Page Six, it turns out that the 29-year-old actress is expecting her first child together with her husband, Klaxons singer James Righton. The report was also confirmed by E! News.

Stepping out onto the red carpet in an embroidered Rocha dress filled with ivory fur trimmings and billowy for the Moët British Independent Spirit Awards, many can’t help but feel that the dress Knightley chose was far from her usual tight-fitted style. As a matter of fact, this isn’t the first time that Knightley has been spotted trying to hide her baby bump. Reports of Knightley and her stylist putting together an ensemble to hide her growing bump have started as early as November.

Having married Righton in the South of France in May 2013, it’s just the right time for the couple to be expecting their firstborn. For a while, Knightley’s pregnancy rumors were unconfirmed. But now that her baby bump has become more prevalent; the actress has confirmed the speculations.

Bringing up Knightley’s interview with Vogue in 2012 on the subject of stay-at-home moms, Knightley remains firm on her decision that she does not want to be a stay-at-home mom. Even though she believes there’s nothing wrong with this job, she feels like it is not for her.

Knightley later on continues with the interview and explained to Glamour that she feels life is about equality. While she hopes to have a family of her own, she does not want to give up her acting career once she is already a mother.

Knightley has received a couple of nominations for her role in “The Imitation Game” from the Screen Actors Guild (SAG). The expecting mom will be going up against Naomi Watts (“St. Vincent”), Meryl Streep (“Into the Woods”), Patricia Arquette (“Boyhood”) and Emma Stone (“Birdman”) for the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role title on Jan. 25, 2015.
