There’s nothing more precious than to hear people praising you for receiving such a wonderful gift. For Kelly Rowland, she’s up to hearing more of that soon enough as she and her husband finally debuts their now four month old son on the cover of a magazine.
Essence magazine reported of Kelly Rowland and her husband and manager Tim Weatherspoon gracing the cover of their upcoming April 2015 issue. And to the delight of many, joining the husband and wife is their baby boy Titan Jewell. It seems after sometime of showing people of teasing snapshots of their son, Rowland and Weatherspoon finally opted to show how adorable their son looks.
In the cover of Essence, Titan can be seen cuddling to his mother as he smilingly looks up at his dad. Inside, Rowland admits that though she is very happy now, it didn’t start so easily that way. Her 2014 began with her wedding to Weatherspoon last May and finally seeing her son’s face in November. But the year took on a rather bitter end as Rowland’s mother died a few weeks after her grandson was born.
Though Rowland is filled with bittersweet emotions, she is grateful to be surrounded by people who sincerely love and care for her. Her late mother’s best friends and the family of her former Destiny’s Child bandmate Beyoncé and sister Solange make her feel wanted and loved. In fact, when Titan was born, Beyoncé was among those who first congratulated them, and she even posted a photo of her holding Titan’s hand. She then captioned it of how honored she is to see Rowland as a mother and that she’s very thankful of the bond they share.
Roland also said that though she is focusing on her career now, she will always place her family on top of her priority list. “My priority is my husband first,” then jokingly added, “That’s how the baby got there.”
To know more about the Weatherspoon family’s story, the April 2015 issue of the Essence magazine will be released on your favorite magazine stores on Friday, March 20.
