Comedian Ken Jeong is set to star in WWE Studios’ “Untitled Celebrity Death Pool.” It will be co-produced by the studio alongsind Image Nation Abu Dhabi, and Hyde Park Entertainment. Read on to learn more about this movie update.
According to Deadline, the film will follow the life of Jeong’s character as a bankrupt nightclub owner. He joins his longtime-running celrity death pool in order to pay the loan shark. During his death pool stint, his mission was to his chosen celebrity, who is played by David Hasselhoff himself.
Jeong and Hasselhoff will be joined by famed wrestler turne celebrity Hulk Hogan, who was known for his stage name as “Mr. America.”
Hasselhoff himself will star and co-produce the project along with WWE Studios President Michael Luisi, Ashok Amritraj of Hyde Park, Michele Berk, Patrick Hughes and Warren Zide.
Kendrick Kang-Joh “Ken” Jeong, a Korean-American actor is best known for his roles as as Ben Chang on the critically acclaimed NBC comedy series “Community” and Crazy Asian gangster Leslie Chow in “The Hangover” trilogy. He is licensed as a physician in the state of California, who has completed his internal medicine residency at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans while developing his stand-up comedy skills.
In an unusual, if informal, partnership, Jamie Foxx and Jeong have each agreed to star in movies written and produced by the other. Foxx has agreed to take a lead role in a new movie Jeong will produce called “After Prom”. Jeong will star in “All-Star Weekend”, a comedy Foxx is developing at his production company about two friends who find themselves fans of opposing NBA stars. Jeong is currently filming Universal’s “Ride Along 2”

Iy is a re-collaboration of WWE Studios and Hyde Park, who have both worked on “The Fall Guy” a comedic film adaptation starring Dwayne Johnson. Eric Gardner is executive produce with Hyde Park International handling foreign sales.
WWE Studios, an exclusive subsidiary of WWE, is responsible for producing, creating and developing feature film properties for its wrestlers and personnel and has produced films such as “See No Evil”, “The Scorpion King”, “12 Rounds” and “The Marine” and a collaboration work with Warner Bros. Animation’s “Scooby-Doo! WrestleMania Mystery.”
