Are you still doing tee-hee at the news that Kendall and Kylie Jenner have made it into the list of ‘Most Influential Teens’? Many ponder, do they really deserve this honor? But without being skeptic, we must say that the two girls are truly influential. Malala Yousafzi, the Pakistani activist for girls’ education is in the list. Ahmed Mohamed, who was detained lately after his clock was misunderstood for bomb is also in the list. The other names in the list also include Jazz Jennings and Malia Obama.
Kylie, 18 and Kendall, 19 have made it to the ‘Most Influential Teens’ list of TIME magazine for the second time. The list comprises of 30 teenagers who have left a powerful impact on the world. It’s not surprising that many fans are wondering as to whether Kylie and Kendall did something like this. How can they be compared to Nobel Prize winner, Malala? But the magazine has its reasons, which would convince you in jiffy that the two really deserve the honor.
According to TIME magazine, Kylie is “arguably the most-watched teenager in the world, commanding an audience of 60 million people across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and her best-selling app.”
Kylie has stated to the magazine, “Everything I do, I always start these huge trends.” She continued and said that she wishes to inspire her fans to become what they want to be and this is what she has been doing.
Kendall Jenner has been chosen for the honor because she has carved a niche for herself by becoming a successful model. She has broken records by getting the highest likes on her picture on instagram. Kendall and Kylie Jenner need to be in the list for sure.
Kylie and Kendall might not be the teens who have achieved something in areas such as sports, political activism or business but they tend to influence through social media a lot. So, underestimating the worth of the two girls would be doing injustice to them.
