Kevin Alejandro Replaced Nicholas Gonzalez on ‘Lucifer’

Lucifer” has secured a new series regular in “Arrow” cast member Kevin Alejandro to play the role of Dan. Read on for more details.

According to Flickering Myth, Alejandro’s character is described as “a gruff LAPD homicide detective who is wary of ‘Lucifer’s’ involvement with his wife and daughter.” The role was originally given to Nicholas Gonzales, but things didn’t work out.

Aside from Alejandro, Tom Ellis leads the series as the “bored and unhappy” Lucifer who decided to leave hell. He eventually decided to help the LAPD with its cases.

“Chicago Fire” star Lauren German , who joins Ellis and Alejandro, will play the role of Chloe Dancer. She is a  LAPD homicide detective who finds herself annoyed yet fascinated with Ellis’ character.

Meanwhile, Lesley-Ann Brandt (“Spartacus”) will play as the best friend  of Lucifer. Brandt’s role was described as “a fierce demon who takes form in a human woman.”

D.B Woodside will play the role of Amenadiel. He was an angel who was sent to persuade Lucifer to return to hell. Rachel Harris completes the current roster as  Lucifer’s therapist named Linda.

Neil Gaiman’s “The Sandman” first introduced “Lucifer.”

As for Alejandro, nothing has been said yet if he will reshoot Gonzalez’s scenes as the pilot episode has already been filmed that featured Dan.

The show has already released its trailer that you can watch here.

More and more viewers are looking forward to “Lucifer” because it seems like a great show.

“Lucifer” will air on Fox mid-2015. The premiere date has yet to be announced.
