Marvel is going ahead with bringing many iconic comic characters on to the big screen, with the latest having to do with the upcoming Ant-Man trilogy. However, it’s uncertain as to what the studio plans on doing with two major franchises they have in their backpack – Daredevil and The Punisher.
In a recent interview with Bleeding Cool, President of production at Marvel Studios Kevin Feige said that they are still figuring out how to proceed with these two valuable properties.
“We’re trying to figure out what to do with Daredevil now. Punisher could show up at one point. You know, once we get characters back into the Marvel fold we don’t want to do something right away, we want to do the smart thing at the smart time.”
It’s possible that Marvel considers this a bad time to introduce reboots for DareDevil and The Punisher. All of their current projects are ‘colorful’ in a manner of speaking; while both DareDevil and The Punisher deal with dark storylines.
As for his own future, Feige has revealed that his Marvel contract should keep him occupied for some time to come. “I think it’ll be a while [before I leave],” revealed Feige.
