Kevin Hart Singed For Universal Studio’s Upcoming Film Night School

The action comedy film Night School is in its early pre-production stages. In the latest update, it was confirmed that the film will star About Last Night actor Kevin Hart.

He is said to have been signed by Universal Pictures for the upcoming project. The studio is in talks with Ride Along director Tim Story for directing this film. However, as of this writing, nothing has been confirmed.

What Is The Film Night School About?

Night School revolves around the life of Kevin Harts’s character. He is a misfit and is a leader of a group. Under several circumstances, they are forced to attend night school, also known as adult classes, to crack the GED exam.

It is about their struggle and rebellious behavior which creates a problem. But, it gets sorted out with time. Nothing much is known about the characters of the story yet as it is still under development. (Via Variety)

The scripting is done by Harry Ratchford, Matt Kellard, Joey Wells, and Hart himself. In addition to this, there was some modification done by Nick Stoller.

No other cast members have been finalized for the film. Hart has previously worked with director Story in his film Ride Along which was very well received by the audience. Indeed, if the duo comes together one more time, it will be no less than a visual treat for their fans.

Kevin Hart’s Upcoming Films

Hart will be seen in the upcoming remake of the French comedy-drama The Intouchables. He is set to play the role of Driss in the American remake of the film. The film is centered on the relationship of a rich paraplegic and a jobless man who has a criminal record. Despite being from different backgrounds, they share a wonderful friendship.

The 37-year-old actor will also be seen in the sequel of 1995 adventure film Jumanji. The star-studded film includes Dwayne Johnson, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, and Jack Black. The story begins with the group of young kids discovering the game and getting stuck in it. They discover what Allen Parrish had been through 20 years back. Will they be able to survive till the end?

Hart’s latest upcoming movie is Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie which is based on the novel series written by Dav Pilkey. It’s a 3D animated film in which Hart has voiced a troublesome 10-year-old boy George Beard. It is slated to be released on June 2, 2017.


Hart is wonderful actor and comedian who can pull off such roles wonderfully. It seems that this role defines some phase of his life which he has been through. However, there is not much known about the character description of his role yet.

But, for an actor like him, it isn’t going to that challenging as he makes impeccable observations for the characters around. He has been a stand-up comedian for so long and has won quite a lot of leisure comedy competitions.

Hart made his debut in a televisions series Undeclared in the year 2000 when he was cast by Judd Apatow. Ever since then, he worked on several smalls screen and film projects. The journey of Kevin Hart is indeed commendable and the upcoming movie is going to be another feather in his cap.

Release Date
