Kevin Love, the American basketball player, who stepped in this summer as a free and unrestricted agent did not last long, since the Cleveland Cavaliers better known as Cavs hurried up to fix with him a deal worth $110 million for nearly five years. Meanwhile, on another occasion, basketball player, LeBron James, who plays for the Cavs of the National Basketball Association (NBA), was spotted hanging out with Love at a pool. Read below to get a scoop of it.
While the expectations of most of the fans of Love has gone straight right to the mark after his million dollar deal with the Cavs, some critics had a thought that if he was not a great fit for Cavs possibly for his season-ending shoulder injury, he might opt to play somewhere else.
According to Yibada, there is no iota of doubt that the Cavs are highly betting on Love, placing even Golden State Warriors’ Jason Thompson signing up in the air. However, the basketball teams like Boston Celtics are reportedly waiting to see if the matter does not go in favor of the Cavs.
However, Danny Ainge, the retired American basketball player and the President of Basketball Operations for the Boston Celtics, is likely to be highly confident with his rebuilding strategies of the accumulation of “assets.” He strongly believes that his strategy would bear fruit sooner or later when the right player comes at the right time. He is said not to have faith on capitalizing on other team’s disagreement.
On the other hand, the picture taken by Jensen Karp, a writer of Rolling Stone Magazine, which suggested a pool meeting between Love and James instantly gained public attention last month because Chris Haynes’ tweet already confirmed the fans that James was not going to recruit Love to stay in Cleveland. So, what were these two players doing sitting at a pool?
A recent report published by Sporting News revealed James’ confession on this subject saying that it was a “business meeting” with Love.
“(Love) wanted to have a sit down with me and talk about everything. He wanted to talk about the season, what could happen with the team going forward. I was absolutely open to it. I was one of the people that wanted him there when we made the trade last summer… Our No. 1 objective right now is to sign Tristan,” James said.
