On this case, Activision raised their bars in the creation of their video game as they tapped Kevin Spacey to play out the part of the villain in “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.”
As reported by Air Herald, the first-person shooter game is set in the futuristic 2054, when the world is on its knees for a massive global attack. Desperate for immense counter measures, they turned to the private military and strategic operations corporation called Atlas. It is owned by an egotistical mercenary-slash-business leader Jonathan Irons whom Kevin Spacey gives life to. Caught up in a much complicated moral conundrum, the world encounters bigger problems aside from international terrorism, as it now also faces the tyrannical overpowering of Atlas’ leader, Irons.
“The truth is we often find ourselves more effective than the governments that hire us,” delivered Irons amidst a series of an all-out action video sequence in the game’s trailer.
To date, Call of Duty is one of the highest selling video game franchises in the world today, and speculations from Forbes suggest that it won’t get replaced anytime soon. After all, it shall be the first game that will utilize the graphic advancements of Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One.
Sledgehammer Games are taking the producing duties to this phenomenal game, and they are setting its release on Nov. 4, 2014.
