“Avatar” actress Zoe Saldana would join “I Kill Giants,” an adaptation of Joe Kelly‘s graphic novel of the same name, along with “Home Sweet Hell” Madison Wolfe. Read on to know more details.
According to /Film, “Harry Potter” director Chris Columbus would be the producer of the graphic novel adaptation film “I Kill Giants.” “Helium” director Anders Walter would be the director of the film. The filming of “I Kill Giants” is set to start in 2016, reported VARIETY.
EMPIRE reported that Madison Wolfe would play the role of Barbara Thorson, a little girl around which the film’s story revolves.
Thorson, who struggles with problems in life, escapes into a “fantasy world of magic and creatures” involving giants like Demons, Dungeons and Dragons. This little girl seems to be away from social life and she does not have much friends. She always talks about giants to people. According to Thorson, giants are real, and she takes the responsibility to stop them when they appear. Her fantasy life started oozing into her real life. She would start noticing signs in the things around her that lets her know that something bad is approaching.
Zoe Saldana would play the role of a psychologist Mrs. Molle in this film. Mrs. Molle would be the Thorson’s school psychologist. She would help Thorson to boldly face both her internal and external threats, and help her deal with her giants. She would develop a strong bond with the girl in the process.
Zoe Saldana has recently starred in the long-delayed Nina Simone biopic “Nina” that is set to release in December. She would also appear as Uhura in “Star Trek Beyond” that is set to release on July 8, 2016 in USA. We would have watched Madison Wolfe in “True Detective” season one. She would appear in Jay Roach’s “Trumbo” and David O. Russell’s “Joy.”
