We all know Kim Kardashian LOVES taking selfies. But did you know that she was the one who actually started the trend? At least that’s what the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star claims! In her new book, “Selfish,” Kardashian talked about how she began taking pictures of herself even back when the term, and Instagram, has yet to be invented.

According to, Kanye West’s baby momma just got “hooked” taking photos of herself.

“I took pictures of myself with digital cameras when I was in junior high and high school, and I just got hooked,” Kardashian said.

What’s even more interesting was that the reality star actually took her first selfie when she was only four years old. Isn’t that just adorable? We can’t wait to get our hands on that photo. There might be a few shots of her with sisters, Khloe and Kourtney, in there too!

In her new book, fans will get to know more about Kardashian’s life through pictures. All in selfie form, of course! However, before you think it was a bit too much of Kardashian to publish a book full of nothing but her photos, it was actually her husband’s idea. He even coined the name of her book, which is we got to admit, pretty witty. No surprise there! The rapper has always been eager to show off her wife — with or without clothes. We couldn’t blame him for that.

According to Inquistr, it may be a tad difficult for Kardashian to get a patent for her selfie invention, especially since there was no way to prove that she created the term and started the trend.
