Kim Richards checked out of the Malibu rehab facility recently. She had been put in the facility after she had gotten drunk and caused a drunken scene at the Beverly Hills Hotel in April. The strange altercation had ended up in her arrest and subsequent deposition in the Malibu rehab facility, where she had stayed for over a couple of months, until she finally learned to stay sober and stayed that way for over a month.
Kim Richards may have reached sobriety because her family was strong enough to give her tough love. “Her daughter Brooke gave her tough love,” an insider told Page Six. “She wouldn’t see her mom until she completed the whole program.”
Kim Richards had been sent to the Malibu rehab facility after she had kicked a police officer under drunken state. Richards had voluntarily checked into rehab, but had checked out time and again from the facility as she struggled to keep off the booze. She finally delighted her family by staying sober for over 38 days. Her delighted ex-husband, Monty Brinson had said that he was proud of her.
The former ‘Real Housewives of the Beverly Hills’ star had also been pushed to stay in the rehab after her daughter Brooke Wiederhorn had told her to give up her drunken ways at Weiderhorn’s wedding in Mexico. Richards was escorted back to California by a bodyguard after Weiderhorn’s wedding. Her daughter allegedly refused to see her until she got sober. After a reality check and a realization that she really needed to give up drinking, Richards had checked into the Malibu Rehab Facility which was close to her home turf in Los Angeles.
Richards claimed that she was overwhelmed with her life at the time of the drunken brawl. But that is all in the past now. Richards is so intensely keen on her sobriety that she refused to go to her niece Nicky Hilton’s lavish wedding in London that happened earlier this month. She stayed at the rehab for long enough to finish the treatment.
It looks like Kim is getting her life back on track now that she has checked out of the Malibu Facility.
