‘The Umbrella Corporation’ just got a new face, and it’s the face of face of South Korean Actor and Singer, Lee Joon Gi. In a recent photo from the sets of “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter,” Milla Jovovich shared a selfie with the smiling Lee as her nemesis from the Umbrella Corp. Read on for more details.
Milla Jovovich’ instagram is a treasure trove of set photos from the upcoming “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter,” which has Jovovich’s character Alice back in Racoon City for a final showdown with the evil Umbrella Corp. And as it turns out, the face of evil is Korean this time around: Lee Goon Gi.
According to Tracking Board, the Korean actor cum singer will make his Hollywood debut as commander Lee, an Umbrella Corp security office who will no doubt try to kill Alice in different ways in the upcoming movie.
Lee, who is popular for his acting in Korean movies such as “The King and the Clown,” and “The Scholar who Walks at Night,” has not had a Hollywood role before. And according to Jovovich, Lee, who despite his ‘flower-boy’ appeal is a 3rd Dan Tae Kwon Do master, wants her to go back and brush up on her martial art skills. Clearly, Alice has her work cut out for her this time.
The movies plot follows where “Resident Evil: Retribution” dropped us off, with an almost extinct humanity now struggling against the undead hordes. In “the Final Chapter,” as the movies official log line would have it:
In a race against time, Alice will join forces with old friends, and an unlikely ally, in an action packed battle with undead hordes and new mutant monsters. Between losing her superhuman abilities and Umbrella’s impending attack, this will be Alice’s most difficult adventure as she fights to save humanity, which is on the brink of oblivion.
“Resident Evil: The Final Chapter” also stars Shawn Roberts and the malevolent Albert Wesker, Ali Larter, Ruby Rose and William Levy.
“The Final Chapter” will blast its way into theaters on Jan 27, 2017.
