In the beginning of the 200o’s, the international entertainment and music community were taken by storm by the gradual influx of Asian talent, and in particular, Korean entertainment, in what is now called as the “Hallyu” or Korean Wave. Aside from the rise of Korean entertainers, such as Rain, who have taken the world by storm ever since they began to get noticed in the international scene, and Psy, on whom the world’s eyes were all on after releasing “Gangnam Style”, which went on to become a viral hit, another band whom the world has had eyes on for a long time is Big Bang, a group hailing from one of South Koreas biggest entertainment firms, YG Entertainment. Recently, the group has finally gotten back together, and fans are currently waiting eagerly for the boys to wrap up their current World Tour, and for the release of their upcoming album, “M.A.D.E.”. Read on to learn more about this story.
Big Bang, a group that the world has had eyes on since they rose in popularity, and who hails from YG Entertainment, the same company that houses acts such as Psy and 2NE1, has gotten fans excited due to their ongoing World Tour. It was also due to the various singles that the group has been releasing since May of this year, which will culminate in the release of their comeback album, “M.A.D.E.”
However, despite the constant stream of single releases in anticipation for the album, it seems like fans or “V.I.P.’s” , as they like to call themselves, will have to wait just a little bit longer. According to All KPop and JpopAsia, YG Entertainment has just released a statement in which they asked for the fans’ understanding and patience, as the album’s release date will have to be pushed back.
According to the statement, YG Entertainment explained that G-Dragon, T.O.P., Taeyang, Daesung and Seungri, will be taking September off so that they would be able to rest a little. They have been busy promoting the singles that had just released, and will just be wrapping up their World Tour concert, which started in Korea in April and will end on Aug. 30, 2015, in Chongqing, China. Aside from Korea and China, the group, according to their official website, also had concerts in Thailand, Singapore,The Philippines, Indonesia, Taiwan, Mexico, The United States of America, Japan, Australia, Macao and Canada.
YG Entertainment also stated that another cause for the delay is that the group also needed some time in order to finish working on some songs.
