Kristen Stewart has announced plans to go on hiatus and focus on other art forms.

“I'm taking some time off because I've been working for two years. I'm an actor and that's my art form, and because I started that so young, I've always felt intimidated and insufficient when I think about other forms of art I want to create,” the actress told US Weekly.

Stewart, 24, said that she intends to purchase a live-work space in down town Los Angeles. She also said that she has been writing and producing a short film. The actress had a poem published in Marie Claire's March 2014 issue.

The California native churned out seven movies in just two years and was one of the highest paid actresses of 2013. She will not be considering movie scripts over the next few months, though she has three films in post-production. “Equals,” “American Ultra” and “Big Shoes” are scheduled for released in 2015.

“I can get behind all of my creative endeavors more so than ever before. I’m super happy and challenged and inspired and relaxed,” added Stewart.

She plays a soldier in her latest film effort, “Camp X-Ray.” In a review from LA Times, Betsy Sharkey said that the role was a good fit for the actress. She wrote

“The skittish looks the actress slips between hard glares or icy outrage bring a kind of understated electricity to Cole…she continues to evolve the further away she gets from ‘Twilight's’ teenage Bella,” wrote Sharkey.

Stewart started out as a child star. She appeared in “Panic Room” with Hollywood veteran Jodie Foster. However, she is best known for playing Bella Swan in the “Twilight” film franchise, which is based on a young adult book series of the same title. The actress filmed indie movies in between “Twilight” installments.

She also famously dated her “Twilight” co-star Robert Pattinson. They were together for four years before they called it quits in 2012, following the actress' highly publicized affair with her then-married director, Rupert Sanders.
