Read below if you want to know more about the upcoming movie.
The newly launched trailer shows Po’s dad Li who is exhausted and breathing heavily while crawling up the stairs to confront his son. Then he just utters: “I’m your father.” He then collapses in fatigue at the stairs and Po constantly gazes at him with a bewildered look, as he still can’t believe that he would meet his father in this way. The short clip thrusts an emphasis on some unexpected twists in the story, including Po’s past to be the center of the movie.
According to Screen Rant, the two pandas will go for a journey together to search for a “secret panda paradise.” The problem will arise when a new villain named Kai, the character played by J K Simmons, sweeps across China with a dirty intention to annihilate all the Kung Fu masters. Kai can only be defeated if Po provides intensive training to the pandas in the village and form an army of Kung Fu pandas.
As stated by Latin Post, the Academy Award winning actor, Simmons is very enthusiastic for his animated role and he is much happy that his character will be presented as a tough guy again.
The co-director of “Kung Fu Panda 3,” Jennifer Yuh Nelson earlier said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that Kai would become the movie’s most important villain the fans and viewers had ever seen in earlier series.
“He’s somebody that’s beyond Tai Lund, beyond Shen. He’s a villain that Po is completely ill-equipped to face,” Nelson said.
The movie is slated to hit the theater on Jan. 29, 2016.
