Congratulations Lance Bass and Michael Turchin! The two had finally tied the knot at a lavish wedding on the Park Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles last Saturday. The wedding was officiated by Jamie-Lynn Sigler and JoAnna Garcia Swisher, as reported by The New York Times.
The wedding would not be complete without a mini-reunion with Bass’ former NSYNC band mates Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and JC Chasez. All except for Justin Timberlake, who was still on his “20/20 Experience” world tour.
Bass told People that he was disheartened when Timberlake was not able to make it.
“I had no idea that anyone would be on tour so close to Christmas. So when we chose the date, I didn't even think to look at the schedules of any of the guys. It is sad, but he'll be there in spirit.”
Fortunately, Chazes had his schedule freed up as he was chosen to sing during Bass and Turchin’s first dance as a married couple.
More than 300 guests were in attendance at the wedding. The other stars spotted in the ceremony were AJ McLean of the Backstreet Boys, as well as reality stars including Lisa Vanderpump, Cheryl Burke, Carmen Electra and Kris Jenner.
Bass and Turchin undoubtedly spared no expense to make the celebration a night that the two of them would remember forever. They told E! News that they wanted a "classic" yet "grandiose" wedding. Bass, however, felt that it might have been "borderline tacky" because of his obsession with all things royal and medieval.
"My only note to the guests were 'I want you to pretend like you're going to a royal wedding at the met ball.' So it can be over the top, high fashion, and just incredible fashion, and that just kind of set the tone for the wedding right there," expressed Bass on E! News.
For those who are curious to see the grand ceremony, you can catch the 90-minute special of “Lance Loves Michael: The Lance Bass Wedding" on E! on Feb. 5, 2015. This will be the first time that an American television network would be showing a celebrity wedding between two men.
