“Law & Order: SVU” Season 16 Episode 17 “Parole Violations” will air on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 9:00 PM on NBC. In this episode, according to the exclusive sneak peek on Spoiler TV and according to the official tagline on the official website, the Special Victims Unit team will be investigating a case that is close to Detective Dominick “Sonny” Carisi, Jr. (Peter Scanavino), as they investigate the rape of his future brother-in-law by his female Parole Officer, which raises the issue of whether men can be raped by women.

In this particular episode, Detective Dominick “Sonny” Carisi, Jr. (Peter Scanavino) future brother-in-law, the fiancé of his sister, Bella Carisi (Marin Ireland), was raped by his female Parole Officer, which brings to light the issue of whether a man can be raped by a woman, as circumstances like this are very rare. However, Sergeant Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) told Bella that it is possible for these things to happen, especially in her fiance’s position, as he claimed to have been forced to do it at gunpoint. However, Assistant District Attorney Rafael Barba (Raul Esparza) told them that this case would be quite difficult to try, especially as they had to convince an entire jury that a woman was indeed capable of raping a man.

Also, according to Deadline, “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” will be renewed for a seventeenth season, making it on the longest currently running shows on television. This was announced by NBC last month, alongside the news that other shows, such as “The Blacklist”, “Chicago PD” and “Chicago Fire”.
