Lea Michele threw up while singing the iconic Disney song from Frozen, “Let It Go.” Was she, like every parent who’s had to listen to it millions of times, quite over it?
As “Glee” finally winds down to its last three episodes for its sixth and final season on Fox, actress Lea Michele, who plays the strong-willed and driven Rachel Berry, admitted she regurgitated the contents of her stomach while singing her heart out to “Let It Go.”
Many parents of “Frozen”-obsessed children may quite understand her predicament at having to belt out what amounts to a “last song syndrome” number, but Michele told “Jimmy Kimmel on E!” that disgust over the Disney song wasn’t the reason for her stomach upset.
“There was a lot of pressure!” the classically trained Broadway actress revealed. “I looked up trying to make it magical and beautiful and ended up…vomiting on the ground.”
After six seasons of singing on the show, you’d think Michele would have her performances down pat without getting any stage fright. After all, not only is she a Broadway veteran, she’s also one of the best-voiced Gleeks on Fox.
According to the actress, not only did worry get the best of her, she happened to be putting her whole heart into the song, and while looking up to hit a high note, just happened to accidentally swallow some of the artificial snow used as special effects on stage.
The result was some choking and vomiting — all of which were captured on camera. As an added bonus, the camera crew even recorded the whole scene in slow motion. Really great colleagues you have there, Lea.
