Always the troublemaker, Leah Remini is back to slinging mud on the faces of the Church leaders of the Church of Scientology. She has published a book on the subject and has been revealing niggling little details about the problems in the Church.
Leah Remini has published a new book titled, “Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology.” In the book, the writing lives up to the title and goes on to show what kind of troublemaker Remini is. The book reveals enough about the Church of Scientology to make its head honchos squirm in their high seats.
In the book, Remini dissects the Church Dogma and even confesses to the fact that she was a more valued member of the church than even Tom Cruise. On the subject of Cruise, Remini goes deep into Cruise’s personal life and talks about his two marriages with Nicole Kidman and atie Holmes and even the way Cruise was upbringing his kids.
In a chapter, she goes deep into the events as they unfolded on Cruise’s wedding with Holmes where she was invited as a guest. She recounts that she was made to invite Jennifer Lopez because the Church Leaders wanted to convert Lopez. Lopez’s father is already a Scientologist. Apparently, Lopez was unimpressed by the proceedings, where the bride arrived late and Cruise’s daughter, Suri, kept crying because the people were clueless that the infant was hungry.
Other celebrities who get talked about in the book include John Travolta and Kirstie Alley. Leah’s portrayal of Travolta was gentler than her portrayal of Cruise and his family. At one point, she goes on to call him a “sweetie pie.” She had a few unkind things to say about Alley too. In a recent interview with Howard Stern, Remini told that Alley and other people in the church of Scientology wouldn’t have the guts to read her book.
