YG Entertainment confirmed that Lee Hi, the runner-up of SBS’s “K-pop Star” Season 1, would be back through Tablo’s “HIGH GROUND.” The South Korean singer’s album would be produced by Tablo’s independent label, “HIGHGRND” (HIGH GROUND).
According to KOREABOO, YG Entertainment confirmed the latest news regarding Lee Hi’s comeback on August 25. It was confirmed that they are ready to release the South Korean singer’s new album. They even confirmed that they have collaborated with Tablo to produce the album. Tablo’s independent label, “HIGHGRND” (HIGH GROUND) would be responsible for the production of the album. The agency also revealed that they aim for the perfect and faultless comeback of Lee Hi (Lee Ha-yi). The agency further stated that they are very happy for the collaboration with Tablo to produce Lee’s alum as they deeply trust Tablo’s production talent.
The South Korean singer has been working under YG Entertainment ever since she appeared on SBS’s “Kpop Star” Season 1. “ROSE,” and “1,2,3,4” are two of her best hit tracks.
According to allkpop, a rep from YG Entertainment revealed that Lee is returning back, and that she has began working with her YG Entertainment’s labelmate.
The rep also stated that Yang Hyun Suk, CEO of YG Entertainment, is very busy and hence could not focus on Lee’s return. The CEO has immense trust on Tablo’s production efficieny, and Lee’s return will be through Tablo’s sub-label “HIGHGRND,” stated the rep.
While the South Korean singer is still under YG Entertainment YG, Tablo would be in charge of the overall production of her new album. In fact, it seems that Lee Hi would be a great fit for Tablo’s independent label, “HIGHGRND” (HIGH GROUND). We hope that the South Korean singer would give another hit track with this comeback.
