According to KDrama Stars, Lee Jong Suk and Park Shin Hye were spotted in a same star-studded event, the 2015 Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards, as they both went on to the stage to receive their awards for their outstanding contributions in the industry.
The said event was held last Thursday, October 29, took place at the National Theater of Korea. The awards night was to recognized the leading entertainers in Seoul that gave exceptional contributions in the country and were able to have big impact and influence within popular culture and arts.
Soompi reported that Park and Lee were not the only awardees as they were also with their fellow artists such as JYJ, Kim Jong Koo and IU. They all received the Prime Minister’s award.
The “Pinocchio” lead actress, Park, was awarded as the leading Korean actress of the year, who according to the site, has touched spectators not only in Seoul but also beyond the country with her performances in her Korean drams.
Park is well-known for wholeheartedly giving all her best to portray all her characters, and this award only proved that she’s indeed one of the best Hallyu stars that created a big impact to the audiences all the world.
The 25-year-old actress said in his acceptance message dedicated the award to God and revealed her childhood interest to become an actor.
Lee, on the other hand, was also honored like Park for his impact on the Korean Wave. The actor was recognized for his influential portrayal in his dramas, and as one of the top Hallyu stars in this generation, Lee did an exceptional job to be a well-known actor beyond Korea.
Moreover, the site reported that prior to accepting his award, the presenter acknowledges his popularity he gained from his portrayal in “Pinocchio,” “I Can Hear Your Voice” and other contribution that helped boost the interest in Hallyu.
Lee gratefully accept his award and said wining awards makes him nervous and he always prefers a short thank you speech. He added that he would soon get engaged in a new work.
It was not the first where Lee Jong Suk and Park Shin Hye had their moment together after their drama “Pinocchio” ended as they were both tapped to endorse Millet again for the brand’s Winter collection.
