The New York-based streaming website DramaFever has Lee Min Ho on its most popular list, followed closely by Kim Woo-Bin.

DramaFever distributes a wide range of dramas and films and most of them are Korean dramas. The local media outlet gets an average of 20 million visitors a month and a huge part of their viewers are non-Asian.

According to Daniel Actor, the director of DramaFever, “American dramas tend to be dark and violent. But, for Korean soaps, although the scale is not huge, their plots are strong and soft.” He also said that Lee Min Ho is the most popular actor on their online streaming site with his Korean dramas getting so much views such as “Boys Over Flowers,” “The Heirs” and “Personal Taste City.”

Actor revealed that when they started streaming “The Heirs” in 2013, it has garnered $1 million in sales just within six months! “I personally like actor Lee Ki-Woo but Lee Min Ho and Kim Woo-Bin are the most sought after actors on the website,” he said.

There is clearly no surprise because Lee Min Ho is definitely one of the most popular Korean actors worldwide. He has been juggling several endorsements left to right, his most recent is from an Italian chocolatier, Ferrero Rocher. He has also been selected as Ambassador for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.

Lee Min Ho’s breakthrough was his role in “Boys Over Flowers” in 2009. He played Gu Jun Pyo, which has become one of the most recognised K-Drama roles and he even expanded more his fanbase through “The Heirs” where he starred opposite Park Shin Hye and Kim Woo Bin.

DramaFever is indeed very pleased to have his dramas on their streaming website. It has done them good… and still doing them good!
