Team Avatar is back for its fourth and final round starting this Friday, Oct. 3, 2014, as the fourth and final season of Nickelodeon’s “The Legend of Korra” will begin its final season on that date. In anticipation for the arrival of the new season, which is entitled “Book Four: Balance”, Nickelodeon has already released the trailer for the season. WARNING! This article may contain spoilers on “The Legend of Korra” “Book Four: Balance”. Keep on reading if you want to know more about the show’s final season.
According to the trailer, the entire season is set three years after the events in season three. When we last left Korra (Janet Varney), she was wheelchair bound, and still recovering from her ordeal with the Red Lotus.
However, in the trailer, it looks like Avatar Korra is back in action, and she is now sporting a new and shorter hairdo. She is not alone, as her old teammates, Asami Sato (Seychelle Gabriel), and brothers Mako (David Faustino) and Bolin (P.J. Byrne) are back in action as well, with Bolin utilizing his newfound lava bending skills.
Korra also will be fighting new battles, and will be facing new enemies, as she tries to strive for balance in a new and rapidly changing world.
Based on the trailer, she will be going against a new enemy, a powerful woman metal bender, who seems to have an army of soldiers, and airships of her own. However, this new enemy will prove to be a match for Korra, as Team Avatar has to engage her in battle.
The new season will also see the return of some old faces, such as Jinora (Kiernan Shipka), who is seen already sporting the tattoos that marked her as an airbending master. Zuko (Bruce Davison), President Raiko (Spencer Garrett), and Tenzin (J.K. Simmons) are also seen seated on chairs, however, they don’t look very happy at all.
The trailer also shows several clips of Korra near a swamp, and at the very end of the trailer, it looks like Korra has unexpectedly found a team member of the original Team Avatar- Toph Beifong.
