In 2011 Nickelodeon’s “Legend of Korra” ended and the last episode in the famous series showed a possible love interest between Korra and Asami. Although a film on the series is a lost card, but fans can will may get another chance to recreate all the moments.
Dark Horse Comics, which is famous for creating comic books on James Cameron films like “Alien,” and “Terminator,” has announced earlier this year that they are planning to continue the story of “Legend of Korra” in all-new comic series. Michale Dante DiMartino and, the co-creator of the series will be helming the project that will explore Korra’s world after the finale of the series in 2011.
At New York Comic-Con, Dark Horse announced that the famous Brittney Williams has joined the Korra Team. Along with this, Patsy Walker aka Hellcat also said that her new gig will be her interpretation of Bryan Konietzko’s fan favourite character.
“I’m definitely going to stay true to the amazing style and tone that the “Legend of Korra” and the “Avatar” series have,” William added.
According to CBR, William also added that animated series and comics are altogether two different things. In an animated series, there is a team of animators working along on a project. Whereas, when it comes to comic book, usually there is only one person. “Legend of Korra” series will soon be available on Blue-ray and DVD.
Fans know that this is an American cartoon, but there should be an original animated video, focusing on Aang and friends in their adult years.
It’s not yet revealed that from which point they will start the comic book series, but it is for sure that there will be a lot to explore between Korra and Asami’s relationship. Although, fans are still sad that they won’t be able to see Korra on TV or in any feature film, but the news of upcoming comic book is a sure relief.
