Truth Revolt, a right-wing website, has accused Lena Dunham of molesting her younger sister. Ben Shapiro, a conservative political commentator, cited a passage from her book “Not That Kind of Girl,” where the writer describes, in graphic detail, examining her sister's genitals when they were children.
In the essay, Dunham talked about how her mother, artist Laurie Simmons, taught her about the female anatomy. In a passage from the book, Dunham wrote:
One day, as I sat in our driveway in Long Island playing with blocks and buckets, my curiosity got the best of me. Grace was sitting up, babbling and smiling, and I leaned down between her legs and carefully spread open her vagina. She didn’t resist and when I saw what was inside I shrieked.
Shapiro also claimed that Dunham used her younger sister for sexual experimentation, asking the child to kiss her in a lengthy manner and poking her genitals as a form of prank.
Concerned followers of the site took to the comments thread to voice their disgust. One even asked if Dunham could still be prosecuted for the incident.
The writer turned to her Twitter account to respond to the allegations. She called the claims “upsetting and disgusting” and told the commentator to not “twist” her words. She also insisted that sexual curiosity comes naturally to children.
Usually this is stuff I can ignore but don't demean sufferers, don't twist my words, back the fuck up bros.

Dunham is best known for playing Hannah Horvath in the HBO series “Girls,” which she also wrote and directed. She has been criticized in the past for frequently appearing nude on the show.
“She keeps taking her clothes off and it kind of feels like rape,” remarked talk show host Howard Stern.
Reporter Jude Apatow compared the nudity in “Girls” to that of “Game of Thrones” and said that while nudity in the latter was clearly meant to tantalize viewers, the nudity on the HBO series seems random and pointless.
“It’s because it’s a realistic expression of what it’s like to be alive, I think, and I totally get it. If you are not into me, that’s your problem, and you are going to have to kind of work that out with whatever professionals you’ve hired,” responded Dunham on The Wrap.
