Warner Bros. has set a date for its upcoming Liam Neeson starrer action film, “Run All Night.” Read on for more details about this story.
According to Deadline, Warner Bros. has set a release date for its upcoming action film “Run All Night,” slating it on April 17, 2015. Neeson will play as an aging hit man who is forced to take on his brutal former boss to protect his estranged son and his family. The film will be directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and written by Brad Ingelsby. The action pic will also star Vincent D’Onofrio, Genesis Rodriguez, Holt McCallany, Shawn Maguire, Common, Ed Harris and Boyd Holbrook.
Neeson rose to prominence with his acclaimed starring role in Steven Spielberg’s 1993 Oscar winner, “Schindler’s List.” It was based on the novel “Schindler’s Ark” by Thomas Keneally, where he played the lead Oskar Schindler. Regarded as one of the greatest films ever made, it was also a box office success, earning $321.2 million worldwide. It was a recipient of seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Original Score and Best Director, as well as numerous other awards.
He also starred in a number of other successful films, including sci-fi action “Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace,” where he played Qui-Gon Jinn; the action thriller “Taken” and its sequel, “Taken 2”; “Michael Collins”; “Les Misérables”; “Batman Begins” as Ra’s Al Ghul; “Kinsey”; “Clash of the Titans” as the Thunder god Zeus; and Aslan the lion in the “Chronicles of Narnia” series.
He has been nominated for a number of awards including an Academy Award for Best Actor, a BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role and three Golden Globe Awards for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Drama. Moreover, in Empire magazine, he was ranked among both the “100 Sexiest Stars in Film History” and “The Top 100 Movie Stars of All Time.”
The release date will also face off with launches from Sony’s “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2,” Lionsgate’s Tom Hardy thriller “Child 44,” Focus’ sci-fi “Selfless” and Disney’s “Monkey Kingdom.”
Originally, Warner Bros. had set “Run All Night” for Feb. 6, 2015. But the studio announced in June that it had been replaced in that slot with the Wachowskis’ “Jupiter Ascending,” which was delayed from this summer to finish the special effects.
