Liam Payne just spent a whopping £5.1 million on a new mansion! The One Direction star got himself and girlfriend Sophia Smith a late Christmas present in the form of a three-storey luxury home in Surrey. Are we hearing wedding bells anytime soon? Is Liam following the footsteps of co-One Direction bandmate Zayn Malik? Read on to learn more about it.

Wedding plans might be not on Payne and Smith's agenda this 2015, but they sure can prepare for it! News of his extravagant new purchase came soon after it was revealed that boy band had the highest grossing tour of 2014. According to Get Surry, their world tour reportedly earned over £180 million, with an estimated 3.4 million people seeing the show.  Band members reportedly earned almost  £6 million each in 2013.

No wonder Payne could easily shell out millions for his new home. According to the MailOnline, the £5.1 million mansion boasts of a  heated outdoor swimming pool, luxury all-weather tennis court, cinema and 700-bottle wine store. It even has its own ballet studio!

What makes the house even more expensive is its top of the line security. Early in 2014, Payne took to Twitter to complain about fans stalking his home and lack of privacy.

Well, that problem is solved as sneaking in or even waiting outside his new mansions is now close to impossible because of the tight security.  An insider from The Sun revealed that "every part of the house is in “camera isolation zones, many heat and motion monitored.” Talk about going all out!
