Lindsay Lohan Says Oprah Docuseries Forced Her Out of NY

Lindsay Lohan told the Telegraph that she had to relocate to London following her docuseries on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN). The actress said

“After the Oprah show, it was kind of hard for me to be in New York. There started to be paparazzi, and I didn’t have that in New York in the beginning…Every time I left my house, they were at the corner,” said Lohan on the Telegraph.

Lohan, 28, signed a million-dollar deal for the docuseries with Oprah, following an interview with the television host. The eight-part series started filming in August 2013 and premiered in March 2014. Oprah said that filming the docuseries had been “bumpy.” Lohan, who is notorious for being difficult, showed up late to business engagements and asked the crew to leave her NY apartment at one point during filming. Her life coach also revealed that the actress had started drinking again.

Despite the show's poor ratings, it has renewed public interest in the actress' turbulent life. In the finale, Lohan disclosed that she had a miscarriage while filming the docuseries. Although she did not name the father, she said that he was married with kids. Daily Mail reported that Domingo Zapata was the man in question, but the artist insisted that he was just friends with the actress.

The former Disney star has since transferred to London for her stage debut in the West End. She currently plays Karen in David Mamet's “Speed-the-Plow.” She forgot her lines during the first night but received generally positive reviews for her performance.

“She was rather sweet, rather husky, rather wide-eyed – and rather good. She was, in fact, possibly the best thing about this show,” wrote Euan Ferguson of The Guardian.

Lohan has also become a regular fixture in London celebrity hotspots like The Chiltern Firehouse and Scotts. The actress seems to have a quiet life in London as she stated that is more focused on “news, politics and music,” a far cry from the life in the U.S. What do you think of Lohan's new life in London?
