Once in a while, there comes a film that garners all the attention, rakes in all the box office success and stands quite aloof from the clutter, making it distinct, flavorsome and extraordinary.
When one takes a film like “Fifty Shades of Grey” into consideration, one would like to believe that it would certainly be a cut above the rest, especially given all the hype about the movie. Unfortunately, that is not the case. The film has all the elements cinemagoers would be attracted by the hot sex scenes, the bare-skinned buttocks, coupled with a lot of unconventional spanking. However, it feels nothing more than just another overly mundane sex flick that is set to spank your brains out.
In the video below, Lisa Wilkinson reviews “Fifty Shades of Grey.” She says the expectation of a good movie that is a screen adaptation of a novel, which has a hundred million copies sold must make a good film, falls flat on the face. She further claims that “Fifty Shades of Grey is quite simply the worst movie I’ve ever seen.”
She adds the film had a script that “makes Mills and Boons read like bleeding Dickens.” She calls Dakota Johnson’s portrayal of Anastasia “pathetic.” She further elaborates saying “Fifty Shades of Grey is more appalling than appealing,” and she states “it is domestic violence dressed up as erotica.”
