Local residents oppose street name change for Paul Walker

By admin | 4 years ago

Thousands of Paul Walker fans have signed a petition, hosted by GoPetition.com, in a bid to persuade city officials to change the name of Hercules Street to “Walker Rodas Memorial Parkway” to honour the late actor and his friend Roger Rodas.

However, the majority of residents in Santa Clarita, California want no such thing and are opposing this petition. The are saying ‘Hell No’ to name change … because Paul did nothing for the community.

Regardless of the above fact, the petition has managed to reach almost 2K signatures and still counting.

The city councillor TimBen Boydston told TMZ that the name of the road can only be changed with the support of local residents, and many have reportedly decided not to tribute Walker and his friend. So the dream of Walker’s fans seems to be a fanciful hope!

Paul Walker and Roger Rodas died in a tragic car crash between Kelly Johnson Parkway and Hercules Street on November 30.
