Does the axed “X-Factor” judge Louis Walsh, indirectly dissed the new panel of the singing competition as he claimed viewers missed him? Read on.
The 63-year-old veteran music manager, who made Boyzone and Westlife music careers phenomenal, is making headlines these days as he claims that he’s “not sure” with the new “X-Factor” judge, Radio 1 host, DJ Nick Grimshaw.
According to reports, the music mogul watched the latest episodes of the show, and he is seemingly unimpressed to its reboot.
However, Daily Star reported that he noticed the 24-year-old singer Rita Ora, and praised her to her judging skills unlike to Grimshaw whom he refused to give feedback.
“I’m not sure about Grimshaw. I haven’t seen much of him,” Walsh explained.
Walsh worked for the singing competition for 11 years before Simon Cowell reportedly axed him in favor of Grimshaw, which according to Mail Online, became “one of the biggest changes in the “X-Factor” reboot.
“People don’t like change and I think they miss Dermot and maybe some people miss me,” Walsh said.
The music manager also added that one of the reasons why viewers got bored on watching the show is because of Cowell’s corny comments.
Walsh said that Cowell is the oldest among the judges, and maybe it is the reason—“maybe it’s affecting him.”
Moreover, Walsh also pinpointed that the new judges are missing one factor—“fun.”
On the other hand, the veteran music manager also made a comment about the possible appearance of One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson as a guest judge.
Walsh urged the producers to choose a different member from the band because Tomlinson has the least popularity among the members.
