“Mad Max: Fury Road” had done fairly well in the box-office with worldwide earning of $368.2 million and the sequel to the “Mad Max” franchise went into development hell. The fifth instalment in the “Mad Max” franchise will start filming soon, but clouds have hovered around the cast! Read on for more details.
Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron had reported tension grew between them during filming of “Mad Max: Fury Road.” However, both of the brilliant actors had handled it very well and the problems are believed to have subsided. New rumors over the internet have surfaced about Theron not reprising her role of Furiosa, but the opposite might be true!
No official confirmation of Theron backing out from the role of Furiosa is present over the internet. According to reports from USA Today, Theron was also asked about “Wasteland” to Charlize Theron.
“What’s Wasteland? This is all news to me. I have not heard anything like that.” Theron said.
The actress might not know about the title change of the “Mad Max: Fury Road” as it came out as a recent development. It was reported that the sequel was supposed to be titled as “Mad Max: Furiosa.” Although, the title change for “Mad Max: The Wasteland” came out as changes in the script but does not mean Furiosa is not in the new “Mad Max” franchise sequel.
Also, IMDb still notes Hardy and Theron as the main cast of “Mad Max: The Wasteland.”
If rumors of Theron not being signed out for “Mad Max: The Wasteland” are true than there sure to be a spin-off “Mad Max” for Theron as Furiosa. George Miller will be writing, producing and directing “Mad Max: The Wasteland”.
The 39-year-old Hollywood star is currently filming for “The Last Face” and “The Huntsman”. Charlize Theron is also rumoured to play Mrs. Robinson aka Elena Lincoln in “Fifty Shades Darker.” Hardy will next be seen alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in “The Revenant” and in “Legend,” in which he will be seen playing the role of identical twin brothers.
