“Madam Secretary” Season 2 Episode 10: “The Greater Good”, recently left viewers breathless. The season has established a crucial disagreement with Russia, which was sent into high gear on the said episode.
TV Fanatic reports that Maria Ostrov’s decision to assert war has infuriated viewers, as well as how President Dalton’s team and its outlooks on President Ostrov—but surely, this proves she is not one to be messed with.
Rumors that Maria is somewhat involved with her husband’s demise have been circulating but the revelation that it was committed not because he was a cheater or that he treated her badly, but for the ultimate restoration of Russia was quite a surprising fact.

Maria may be sometimes irrational but her love for her country is indeed unquestionable. We can’t blame a fuming woman about the U.S. retaliation, when in fact; Russia was not in any way involved in hacking the Air Force One.
Surely, any citizen of a country would want to protect the place they live in from being attacked. Thankfully, Elizabeth saw beyond the situation and sought to get out of the clash with Russia. It is clear where President Dalton was coming from but it was the United States who ultimately started the virtual assault on Russia without initially setting the records straight.
Things might have been different if the U.S. had investigated more and found the facts before waging a battle. Elizabeth laid some worthy points on what could happen if Maria Ostrov was continuously pressured. A point would come where the Russian forces could outdo the Ukraine and U.S., so why not stop before all hell breaks loose?
The mid-season finale left some looming questions, though. Will President Dalton survive? Will the United States go to war with Russia?
These and more have all of us hooked. Let’s wait and see.
