“Madam Secretary” Season 2 Episode 9 “Russian Roulette” will air on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at 8:00 PM on CBS. In the upcoming episode, it seems like things will be getting a little bit more tense in both the political and the family front as the lines between government agencies and personal beliefs become blurred. WARNING: This article will contain spoilers for the upcoming episode of “Madam Secretary.” Read on to learn more about what new challenges the McCords will face together.

In the universe of “Madam Secretary,” things with Russia have gotten more and more intense after Maria Ostrov (Angela Gots) rose quickly into presidency, and after Dr. Henry McCord’s (Tim Daly) asset, Captain Dimitri Petrov (Chris Petrovski), managed to get important intelligence regarding Ostrov’s plans for Ukraine in the previous episodes.

Now, with President Conrad Dalton (Keith Carradine) declaring war by casting the entire Moscow into darkness, Secretary of State Elizabeth McCord (Tea Leoni), to her displeasure, must begin, with the rest of the White House, to carefully prepare the next steps in order to get Russia to stop invading Ukraine, and to get them to pay for having Air Force One hacked.

According to the promotional video shared on Spoiler TV, and according to one of the sneak peeks also shared on Spoiler TV, Elizabeth’s part in the matter begins while trying to create the speech of a lifetime, which she will give in front of the United Nations. However, as seen in the sneak peek, Elizabeth will be trying her best to phrase her words carefully with the help of speechwriter Matt Mahoney (Geoff Arend) and policy advisor Jay Whitman (Sebastian Arcelus), so that things won’t get worse than it already is.

However, things become complicated after Henry, as seen in the promotional video and sneak peek, and the official synopsis, which was all shared on Spoiler TV, becomes willing to risk going to jail for the sake of peace after he reveals that he had stumbled on a piece of intelligence which states that Russia might not have been responsible for the attack on Air Force One.

Based on the sneak peek though, it seems as if Elizabeth is reluctant to allow themselves to take that risk.

If it wasn’t Russia, who do you think attacked Air Force One? What will happen to Dimitri? Do you think Elizabeth and Henry will break all the rules to broadcast the truth? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
