Mariah Carey had such a grueling pregnancy with the couple’s two-year-old twins that she wouldn’t want to go through that experience again and would only be open to more kids if husband Nick Cannon could experience the laborious nine-month pregnancy.
The 43-year-old diva appeared on US talk show ‘Watch What Happens Live’ on Sunday, and said: “I had pre-eclampsia, I had gestational diabetes. [It was] a really difficult pregnancy and I was alone most of the time … we love Nick, but he was working! He’s the hardest working man in showbusiness.”
“If Nick could have the babies himself, then maybe. Then, bring ’em on. We love kids!” she quipped.
Apart from the jokes, the ‘We Belong Together’ hitmaker claimed she and her spouse feel content with their two children. “Nick and I have a boy and a girl, I couldn’t ask for better,” she added.
She also revealed that being a mother of two kids, her attitude towards her career has changed and now she prioritize the needs of her children before making decisions.
“I’m responsible for these children ’til forever so I look at it like, they didn’t ask for this lifestyle. Here they are, and it is so different than being able to just be like, ‘OK, bye, well, I’m going here now. I just did a show, I’m leaving,’ ” she said.
Mariah had a great time as a judge on ‘American Idol’ this year but quit the show in May after she had her famed feud with fellow panelist, Nicki Minaj.
The ‘Art of Letting Go’ singer recently said her ‘Idol’ experience was like being “in hell with Satan.” She said she felt duped by the show’s producers who changed the judging panel from three people to four. Mariah also insisted that she won’t be a reality show judge again.
