Mariah Carey decided to play a prank to some of her fans staying at Caesar’s Palace. How did she surprise them? By dressing up as a housekeeper for the hotel! Read on to learn more about this scoop.
After a tough 2014, it seems like Mariah Carey is so ready to take her life back. One way the 44-year-old singer is starting her year is to give her fans some exciting news. But before that, the singer dressed up in a French maid outfit and pretended to be working at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas as a housekeeper.
On the video clip, some of Carey’s fans thought that they would just be interviewed about some Vegas shows inside their hotel rooms. What they didn’t know was when they started filming, the singer entered the room and started to clean up the messy rooms. A few minutes later, they started to realize what was happening in the background. At this point, the looks on their faces show a priceless, stunned look to find their idol pretending to be a housekeeper. Not only were they able to meet the singer in person, they were also able to get a hug from her as well. Plus, she gave them tickets to watch her upcoming shows in Vegas.
On last Thursday’s episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” Carey confirmed that she will be doing her residency at the Las Vegas hotel. For the newly divorced singer, this would be a very special event as she does her first ever residency. The singer also shares that she hopes her fans will enjoy this part of her life as she performs on stage for Caesar’s Palace. The songs that will be performed by the singer are inspired by the singer’s hit songs from her albums.
Together with DeGeneres, Carey starts to enumerate the 18 number one tracks that the singer would be performing. Among the songs mentioned in the lineup are: “We Belong Together,” “Emotions,” “Dreamlover,” “One Sweet Day,” “Fantasy,” “Touch My Body,” “Vision of Love” and “Don’t Forget About Us.”
While some of the singer’s other songs were not counted by the two, they will be part of Carey’s show in Las Vegas. These songs on the list include “Someday,” “Always Be My Baby,” “I Don’t Wanna Cry Honey,” “I’ll Be There,” “My All,” “Love Takes Time,” “Heartbreaker” and “Thank God I Found You.”
On the video, DeGeneres said that it would be rude of Carey to just give tickets to the fans in Vegas. This prompted her to announce that each one in the audience would also be getting a ticket to the show. Watch the video here:
