Our very own Hulk aka Mark Ruffalo is in news for making an effort to save environment by joining anti-fracking campaign with Irish folk singer Christy Moore, actor cum vocalist Glen Hansard and musician Sharon Shannon. The term fracking means the method of extracting natural gas and oil/petroleum by injecting high pressure in rocks which is like causing trouble to the environment for once own profit. Read On!
Yes, Ruffalo is out to support the Ireland-based campaign designed to aware the bad effects of fracking and to explain his stand on the same; the actor said, “Across the United States, people are being poisoned by contaminated water and air from fracking operations. The vast majority of over 500 peer-reviewed scientific studies demonstrate risks and harms from fracking.”
The “Now You See Me” star further expressed that he is with the Ireland people and their wish to end this fracking practice. He also said that this is time for Ireland and Northern Ireland governments to take suitable actions against this deadly practice, saving the people of the country from this dangerous and life threatening practice.
With the message, “Stop the study and say no to fracking!,” Ruffalo made his view points and intentions clear about the same. This is not the actor’s first campaign which is based on caring for the environment, prior to this, he was seen supporting a campaign titled “100%” with none other than the “Titanic” star Leonardo DiCaprio. “100%” was all about how to use renewable sources to make energy as they are affordable and easily available to all.
Well, Mark Ruffalo, by joining such campaigns made one thing clear that he is among those individuals who really cares for environment and always ready to support a cause in relation to saving natural resources. Let us wish him good luck for his future efforts in movies as well as in saving the environment too.
