Mark Wahlberg is going to star in the 5th movie of the Transformers series. He confirmed the news when he was recently interviewed by the Brazillian magazine, Cinepop. Wahlberg had a good advice for young actors too, which he dished out during the interview.
Mark Wahlberg had not spoken about the next installment of the Transformers series until recently, because the news hadn’t been confirmed by the production house. He was pretty sure that he would return, though. He had hinted at it time and again. His character, Cade Yeager had been appreciated in the fourth film. Cade Yeager shined as a Texas inventor and mechanic who was over protective of his daughter Tessa, played by Nicola Peltz.
Coming Soon magazine noted that Wahlberg had hinted at making a return for the movie about a year ago.
Wahlberg had good advice for young actors too. “Don’t focus on the Stardom; Focus on the work,” he told the interviewers when they asked what advice did he have for young stars. “Show up, be prepared, do your job, behave yourself; Those are the important things.” He said stardom is a part of it, but “if you are in it for that, you are probably going to find yourself in a bit of a trouble.”
The fourth film in the transformers series, “Transformers: Age of Extinction” grossed over $1.1 billion dollars worldwide putting the series gross to over 3.7 billion dollars.
“Transformers 5” is going to be penned by Art Marcum, Ken Nolan, and Matt Holloway who have already done excellent work like penning “Iron Man” and “Black Hawk Down.” Director Michael Bay has not been confirmed to return for the fifth film. It is also rumored that writers Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari, who had done excellent work scripting “Ant Man” will also write the script for an animated feature based on the same characters.
