Markieff Morris is not happy with the Phoenix Sun. The 25-year-old Power-forward is looking to trade out, and he is considering the Toronto Raptors or the Houston Rockets. Read on to find out more.
Morris, who is already gotten four years with the Phoenix Suns, has recently built up resentment towards his team after they traded his twin, Marcus Morris to the Detroit Pistons. The Morris brothers signed a famous $52 million deal with the Phoenix Sun in Sept, 2014, which they were then told to split among themselves as they wished. However, after Marcus’ trade to the Pistons in July had his twin enraged and he has been “very standoffish” ever since.
“He is going to tell the Suns he can’t play for them, has too much hatred and animosity built up and that they won’t want him around…. He has told those close to him he can never be happy in Phoenix. That he won’t say a word to any of the Sun’s’ upper management and will have one word answers for Coach Hornacek. He will keep things short and simple,” James Gambadoro of 98.7 Arizona Sports has reported.
Markieff want to join the Houston Rockets because of his admiration for James Harden, and the Toronto Raptors for Kyle Lowry. But reportedly, he does not really care, “as long as he is not wearing a Suns uniform,” Gambadoro reported.
And reportedly, The Raptors would happily trade Power forward Patrick Patterson and Shooting Guard Terrence Ross for a whiff of Morris. The Raptors are moving towards a more fast-paced style of playing, and Morris, with his superior assist and blocking stats, would be an invaluable addition to their team.
